I am a writer turned Author.  I have been writing most of my life. A poem here and there.  I write from the gut.  It could be good times or sad times.  I draw my poems from my everyday life experiences and also the experiences of others.   I was always told you can learn from other people, so I embrace that. My writing became a collection of poems. This has helped me become a published author today.  It started when I entered two poetry contests. I was chosen to have my poem published in a book called The Spirit of Age. This book features poems from poets all over the world.  I was honored to have another poem selected in the poetry book titled A Thousand Times.  Each poet had to write about time. This evolved to where I am today, starting my own business, "Life Passages." I love my company's name because we can all relate. We all face our own life situations, both now and in the future.

After years of writing poetry, I decided to try my hand at writing children's books. I wanted to lend my voice to help young people navigate some of the challenges that they face today. Like my poetry, I want my children's books to help kids learn from the challenges they will face as they grow up. I want kids to know they are not alone. They are not helpless. They have the tools to take control and solve the problem.

Have you ever thought of life as the opening closing of your hand? It encompasses love, hate, marriage, divorce, joy, sadness, and more. The spoken word tells stories that engage the mind and inspire social change. It often highlights the good and bad in life. Despite being told we have limitations, we should never give up on our dreams and keep our dreams until you succeed .
